03/22/2011 Immediate ICOMOS Japan Report of the Damages of the Tohoku Pacific Earthquake
The first immediate report of the Japan ICOMOS National Committee on the “Damages of National Properties Caused by Tohoku Pacific Earthquake” has been issued and it will be distributed to all ICOMOS National committees as well as to the ICOMOS International Office.

From the President
For those who has shown your concern upon this calamity, thank you very much. We all are struck by the impact of the disaster. We are hoping for the best under this awful time. We appreciate ICOMOS’s solidarity.
Due to this extraordinary circumstance, we still do not have an ample assessment of disaster affected cultural heritage. The members of ICOMOS are in accord to do our best during the course of recovery.
